Dear Reader,
Jai Jinendra!
Jain ascetics are not only spiritual exemplars but also powerful motivators who shape the course of communities and institutions. A revered preceptor often becomes the guiding force behind the establishment of new centers of learning, charitable initiatives, and the initiation of other ascetics onto the path of renunciation. Their presence inspires householders to live with greater discipline, compassion, and ethical awareness, bridging the gap between spiritual ideals and everyday life. By bringing fresh perspectives to modern challenges – whether in education, social service, or moral leadership – they ensure that Jain values remain vibrant and relevant in contemporary times.
It is in this light that we reflect on the demise of Acharya Chandana Ji Maharaj Saheb (Tai Maharaj), whose life embodied this spirit of inspiration and renewal.
