The ISJS Summer School, which commenced on 18 June 2026, is currently in progress at Navalveerayatan, Pune. This year's cohort comprises ten participants from diverse academic backgrounds and multiple faiths, including three participants enrolled in the three-week program and seven in the five-week program.
Since the programme began, participants have explored a wide range of topics on Jain philosophy, metaphysics, ethics, history, and cosmology through lectures and interactive discussions with distinguished faculty.
Their enthusiasm, thoughtful questions, and active participation have fostered stimulating conversations both inside and outside the classroom, creating a vibrant learning environment.
As part of the program, participants also visited Abhay Prabhavana, where they gained first-hand exposure to contemporary Jain initiatives and institutions. Combining textual study with experiential learning, the Summer School offers participants both a literary and a lived understanding of Jainism, enriching their appreciation of the tradition in theory and practice.
