APPLICATIONS OPEN: CERTIFICATE COURSE IN JAIN ART AND ARCHAEOLOGY

The Department of Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology, Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute (Deemed to be University, Pune) is offering a Certificate Course in Jain Art and Archaeology from 17th January 2026.

Organized under the aegis of the Bhagwan Shitalnath Chair for Jain Archaeology, the six-month online program will explore Jain monuments, inscriptions, architecture, iconography, and the processes of Jainism’s spread across India.

• Duration: 6 months
• Medium: English
• Mode: Online (Friday & Saturday lectures)
• Intake Capacity: 50 students
• Eligibility: Any graduation from a UGC-recognized university

The course aims to provide students with analytical and contextual insights into Jain art, archaeology, and heritage, supported by prescribed readings and field visits to important Jain sites.

Admissions open from 18th December 2025 to 15th January 2026.
