THE TABLES ARE TURNED AT BHAGWAN MAHAVIRA PRAKRIT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
The Bhagwan Mahavira Prakrit Fellows have now started to practice teaching in the class. They have completed
studying the sutras and are now practicing to teach the same in the class.
Apart from learning the sutras from the 12th-century iconic Prakrit text Siddha-hema-shabdanushasan by Acharya Hemachandra, the course covered several texts from Maharashtri, Shauraseni, Magadhi, and Arddhamagadhi Prakrits as well as some Apabhramsa excerpts. The participants practiced the ancient language through various exercises in the class, which helped them in identifying roots, constructing sentences, applying rules, and translating passages etc.
The participants are all set to appear for their final exam in May 2025.
