MASTER PRAKRIT: JOIN THE INTENSIVE STUDY PROGRAM AT ISJS

ISJS invites applications for its 6th batch of the 9-month Bhagwan Mahavira Prakrit Fellowship program, which will start in September 2025.

BHAGWAN KUNTHUNATH ISJS AWARDS: SUBMISSIONS NOW ACCEPTED FOR 2024 AND 25

ISJS is now accepting submissions for the Bhagwan Kunthunath ISJS Annual Awards, honoring the best book and research paper/article over a two-year period.

A SUMMER OF LEARNING: ISJS SUMMER SCHOOL DRAWS STRONG PARTICIPATION

Over 12 participants from countries including the US, UK, Kenya, Bangladesh, the Philippines, and India have already registered for the program. Launching on June 17, 2025.

THE TABLES ARE TURNED AT BHAGWAN MAHAVIRA PRAKRIT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The Bhagwan Mahavira Prakrit Fellows have now started to practice teaching in the class. They have completed studying the sutras and are now practicing to teach the same in the class.

BMPF ALUMNI FROM ISJS FEATURE IN DHARMANATH JAIN STUDIES GRADUATE SYMPOSIUM AT BIRMINGHAM

The august gathering of the speakers at the Dharmanath Jain Studies Graduate Symposium at the University of Birmingham on April 15, 2025, featured the alumni of the Bhagwan Mahavira Prakrit Fellowship program by ISJS.

LECTURE CONCLUDED: THE BEGINNINGS OF JAINISM AND ITS RELATION TO THE AJIVIKAS BY PROF. PIOTR BALCEROWICZ

Prof. Piotr Balcerowicz delivered the 21st lecture in ISJS's online lecture series on the Beginnings of Jainism and its relation to the Ajivikas on Monday, April 28, 2025.

LECTURE ON JAINISM AND THE COMPOSITE, 'MESSY' HUMAN MIND BY DR. TILLO DETIGE

Dr. Tillo Detige will deliver the 22nd online lecture on Jainism and the composite, 'messy' human mind on May 12, 2025.


NEW DEVELOPMENTS

CONFERENCE CONCLUDED ON REIMAGINING GENDER IN JAIN TRADITIONS AT LONG BEACH

The second annual conference in Jain Studies was held from April 6 to 8, 2025, co-organized by the Department of Religious Studies, College of Liberal Arts, and Claremont School of Theology (CST).

CLAREMONT SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY AND JAIN COMMUNITY CELEBRATE LANDMARK MOMENT IN INTERFAITH EDUCATION

On April 6, 2025, Claremont School of Theology (CST) took part in a historic signing ceremony establishing The Bhagwan Chandraprabha Endowed Professorship in Jain Studies.

ISJS invites scholars and researchers to contribute their original and unpublished research for upcoming editions of the ISJS-Transactions, an online peer-reviewed journal.
