A ten-day evening program exploring Jain philosophy, ethics, and way of life, and its bearing on questions the world is still asking. Open to undergraduates, graduate and Ph.D. scholars, faculty across the humanities and sciences, teachers, and anyone drawn to the study of Jainism.
Held each winter by the International School for Jain Studies, the program is built for anyone formally engaged with the study of religion, philosophy, South Asian studies, or anthropology — and for the wider circle of related disciplines: history, art, music, public health, bio-ethics, education, management, teachers, and practicing Jains are equally welcome.
Across ten evenings, subject experts and scholars lead the sessions, and participants join live conversation with Jain practitioners — pairing academic grounding with direct exposure to how the tradition is actually lived. Every session runs from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM (IST), in English, entirely online.
Certificate after successful completion of program, and course material is provided electronically.
