ISJS LAUNCHES ONLINE PRAKRIT DICTIONARY

ISJS has initiated a major revamp of its organizational procedures to ensure the timely execution of ongoing projects and a faster, more proactive response to its associates, including financial supporters, participants, and alumni.

As the first milestone in this transformation, ISJS launches its Prakrit Dictionary in English. This dictionary is the English translation of Hargovind Das T. Sheth’s Pāia-Sadda-Mahaṇṇavo. You can browse it at: prakritdictionary.isjs.in.

This digital resource is now open for user feedback and suggestions, enabling scholars and practitioners worldwide to contribute to its refinement. The dictionary is scheduled for full uploading and completion by October 2026, marking a significant step in making Prakrit studies more accessible to global audiences.

ISJS encourages Prakrit enthusiasts to explore and make extensive use of the newly launched online dictionary. As the project is in its initial phase, we warmly welcome suggestions and feedback to help enhance and refine this resource. You can share your feedback at info@isjs.in
