A REPORT: INTERNATIONAL WINTER SCHOOL ON JAIN STUDIES
ISJS successfully completed its 8th Online International Winter School from December 28, 2025 to January 6,
2026, welcoming 37 scholars and students from India and abroad.
The inaugural session featured addresses by ISJS Founder and President Dr. Shugan C. Jain, Co-Founder Dr. Sulekh C. Jain, and Advisor Dr. Narendra Parson, who highlighted the global relevance of Jain philosophy.
Over ten days, participants attended 17 lectures on Jain philosophy, ethics, metaphysics, karma theory, rituals, and art, delivered by distinguished faculty members. A special interactive session with a Jain householder family offered unique insights into the lived experience of Jain values in contemporary life.
The valedictory session, addressed by Dr. Shrinetra Pandey (Director, ISJS), emphasized the importance of sustained engagement with Jain philosophy and global dialogue. Participants praised the program's structured agenda, expert faculty, and cultural depth, noting its academic and spiritual enrichment.
The Winter School reaffirmed ISJS's role in advancing Jain studies worldwide and fostering meaningful cross-cultural exchange.
