JAIN DHAROHAR DIVAS CELEBRATED AT ABHAY PRABHAVANA
The Jain Engineers Society (JES), Pune, in association with Suparshwanath Jain Pathshala, Paras Bhawan, Chinchwad, celebrated Jain Dharohar Divas (Jain Heritage Day) on April 12, 2026, at the Abhay Prabhavana Museum and Knowledge Centre, Pune.
Coordinated by Mr. Sunil Katariya, students, teachers, and parents from the Pathshala visited the museum and knowledge centre to explore Jain heritage and culture. The visit concluded with the celebration of Jain Dharohar Divas, held in memory of Late Shri Narmal Jain Sethi.
Dr. Shrinetra Pandey, Director of ISJS, addressed the gathering as Chief Guest. He emphasized the timeless values and teachings of the Tirthankars, including peaceful living, respect for elders, and compassion for all beings. He explained how Jain schools (pathshalas) can help students integrate these values into their daily lives.
The celebration not only honored Jain heritage but also inspired the younger generation to uphold and practice the principles of Jainism in contemporary society.
