TIRTHANKAR SHANTINATH ENDOWED PROFESSORSHIP IN JAIN STUDIES AT RICE UNIVERSITY
In a historic milestone for Jain Studies in North America, a professorship has been established at Rice University
in Houston, Texas, USA.
Through the generous contributions of Jain donors totalling $1.5 million, matched by another $1.5 million from Rice University, the Tirthankar Shantinath Endowed Professorship in Jain Studies has been established at Rice University, one of America’s most prestigious institutions.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, an event is organized at Jain Vishva Bharati, Houston, on Sunday, October 19.
