ISJS WELL-WISHERS FROM USA INTERACT WITH BMPF FELLOWS

On October 16, 2025, ISJS’s well-wishers—Dr. Sulekh Jain, Dr. Jasvant Modi, Dr. Narendra Parson, and Prof. Christopher Chapple—interacted with participants of the Bhagwan Mahavira Prakrit Fellowship (BMPF) via Zoom, offering reflections on the relevance of Prakrit studies and encouraging the participants in their pursuit.

Dr. Shrinetra Pandey, Director of ISJS, welcomed the gathering, introduced the fellowship’s objectives, and presented an overview of the curriculum. Participants shared their academic backgrounds, personal motivations, and how this program stands apart from other offerings in the field. Dr. Ashok Singh, key faculty member, highlighted the course’s distinctive focus on canonical texts and linguistic precision. Dr. Navin Srivastav, Associate Director, Mr. Harshit Mishra, faculty member, and Dr. Ashok Jetawat, Chief Coordinator of International Forum for Jain Education were also present.
