APPLICATIONS OPEN - 5-WEEK INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL FOR JAIN STUDIES (ISSJS.2026-5W)

ISJS invites applications for its five-week residential International Summer School for Jain Studies, scheduled from June 18 to July 22, 2026.

ISSJS.2026–5W is an advanced academic program designed for:

• Graduate and Ph.D. students
• Post-doctoral scholars
• Full-time teaching-cum-research faculty

Scholars from across the world specializing in Philosophy and Religion, South Asian Studies, Indology, Anthropology, Theology, and allied disciplines are encouraged to apply.

This immersive program includes:

• Experiential learning of Jain philosophy and practice
• Visits to sacred Jain pilgrimage sites and temples
• Interactive dialogues with Jain ascetics and householders
• Exploration of Jain ethical, philosophical, and cultural traditions
• Individual research on a specific topic of Jainism

Applications are open. We invite international scholars to deepen their understanding of Jainism through this unique academic journey.
