APPLICATIONS OPEN - THREE-WEEK RESIDENTIAL INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL FOR JAIN STUDIES (ISSJS.2026-3W)

ISJS invites applications for the three-week residential International Summer School for Jain Studies, scheduled from June 18 to July 8, 2026.

ISSJS.2026-3W is a structured academic program designed for:

• Undergraduate students (third and fourth year)
• Graduate and doctoral candidates
• Post-doctoral researchers
• Full-time teaching-cum-research faculty

Scholars engaged in Religion, South Asian Studies, Indology, Anthropology, Theology, and related disciplines are encouraged to apply.

This intensive residential program provides a rigorous and immersive engagement with Jain thought and practice through:

• Experiential learning in Jain philosophy and practice
• Visits to Jain sites and temples in Pune
• Interactive dialogues with Jain practitioners
• Academic exposure to Jain cultural, philosophical, and ethical frameworks
