APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR 5-WEEK INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL FOR JAIN STUDIES (ISSJS.2026–5W)

ISJS invites applications for its five-week residential International Summer School for Jain Studies, scheduled from June 18 to July 22, 2026.

ISSJS.2026-5W is an advanced academic program designed for graduate and Ph.D. students, post-doctoral scholars, and full-time teaching-cum-research faculty from around the world, specializing in Philosophy and Religion, South Asian Studies, Indology, Anthropology, Theology, and allied disciplines. This immersive program offers:

• Experiential study of Jain philosophy and practice
• Visits to Jain pilgrimage sites and temples
• Interactive sessions with Jain ascetics and householders
• Engagement with Jain ethical, philosophical, and cultural traditions

Applications are now open. We welcome international scholars committed to deepening their understanding of Jainism through this unique academic journey.
