APPLICATIONS INVITED – THREE-WEEK INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL FOR JAIN STUDIES (ISSJS.2026–3W)

ISJS invites applications for its three-week residential International Summer School in Jain Studies, to be held from June 18 to July 8, 2026.

ISSJS.2026–3W is a structured academic program intended for undergraduates (third and fourth year), graduate and doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers, and full-time teaching-cum-research faculty engaged in disciplines such as Religion, South Asian Studies, Indology, Anthropology, Theology, and related fields.

This 3-week residential program offers a rigorous and immersive engagement with Jain thought and practice through:

• Experiential study of Jain philosophy and practice
• Visits to Jain sites and temples in Pune
• Interactive sessions with Jain practitioners
• Scholarly exposure to Jain cultural, philosophical, and ethical frameworks

Applications are now open. ISJS welcomes international scholars committed to deepening their understanding of Jainism through this academically enriching and culturally immersive initiative.
