Thought by Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh. Dr. Singh is a renowned scholar of Prakrit and Jainism. He has about 35
years of teaching experience in the field. His scholarly works include English translations of the
Samavayanga Sutra, Nandi Sutra, and Ashtak Prakarana. He currently works as a Senior Research Fellow at ISJS.
The article points out that in Jain thought, yoga, dhyana, and samadhi are synonymous, sharing similar meanings
and connotations.
