SUMMER SCHOOL 2025 CONCLUDES WITH GLOBAL PARTICIPATION AND PHILOSOPHICAL
ENGAGEMENT
The 20th International Summer School for Jain Studies (ISSJS.2025-5W) concluded after five weeks of immersive learning and intercultural dialogue, drawing 11 participants from the US, UK, Bangladesh, and India. Beginning on June 17, the program offered lectures, site visits, and interactions with prominent Jain ascetics across Panvel, Nandre, Kolhapur, and Kagwad.
Participants observed monastic practices, visited historic temples, and engaged with Bhattarakas at Nandani and Kolhapur Math-s, culminating in a return to Navalveerayatan to finalize their research papers.
Final presentations were held on July 20–21 at Firodia Hostel, Shivaji Nagar, followed by the valedictory session on July 21, where ISJS Director Dr. Shrinetra Pandey reflected on the program's impact and ISJS faculty Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh delivered best wishes and the vote of thanks. Certificates and transcripts were awarded to all participants.
ISJS extends its heartfelt wishes to all participants, encouraging them to continue their exploration of Jain philosophy, culture, and religious heritage with depth and dedication.
