NAMOKAR MANTRA ECHOES IN MARATHI LITERATURE CONCLAVE
The Namokar Mantra was chanted at the inaugural session of the 98th
Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan on February 21, 2025.
The three-day conclave in New Delhi, inaugurated by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, celebrates the heritage and significance of Marathi literature. During the event, Kashmiri vocalist Ruqaya Maqbool performed the Namokar Mantra, a 2500-year-old Jain invocation from Maharashtra. This prayer honors the five exalted beings: Arihantas, Siddhas, Acharyas, Upadhyays, and Sadhus, emphasizing respect and spiritual advancement.
