DELVE INTO PRAKRIT LANGUAGE: APPLY FOR THE PRAKRIT
STUDY WITH ISJS
ISJS invites applications for its 6th batch of the 9-month Bhagwan
Mahavira Prakrit Fellowship program, which will start in September
2025.
Individuals with a doctorate, postgraduate, or graduate degree in
Philosophy, History, Indology, Languages, Linguistics, or Religious
Studies from any accredited institution are eligible to register for this
course. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Jain
studies and acquaintance with Devanagari in Hindi, Sanskrit, or Prakrit. The course will be
taught in English, using Roman transliteration for Sanskrit and Hindi
terms. The outline of the teaching content is available on the website.
This initiative, supported by ISJS and JAFNA, offers fellowships to
outstanding candidates to cover accommodation, meals, and
educational resources. The residential program will take place at the
ISJS campus in Pune, India.
