THREE-WEEK RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
ISJS is delighted to invite applications for its upcoming three-week residential program, Teaching
For Peace (TFP.2026), scheduled from July 2 to July 22, 2026.
Exclusively designed for educators, this transformative journey integrates the values of ahimsa
(nonviolence) into everyday life, teaching, and community engagement. Believing that true global change
begins with the individual, the program turns India into a living classroom, offering direct
encounters with the philosophy and lived traditions of ahimsa.

Program Highlights:
Visits to Schools and hostels, where children practice nonviolence in daily life.
Conversations with teachers, administrators, and students on how ahimsa shapes education and
community life.
Discover how ahimsa shapes everyday life through its application in food, medicine, health,
conflict resolution, race relations, labor, clothing, sports, entertainment, and more.
Meaningful interactions with educators, professionals, and public servants embodying ahimsa
in their lived practice.
Visits to places of historical importance including Gandhi's cremation grounds and museums.
Training sessions on ahimsa, meditation, and spiritual reflection.
This program celebrates educators as shapers of tomorrow. ISJS warmly invites K-12 teachers worldwide to discover
the transformative strength of ahimsa in education and life.
