APPLICATIONS OPEN: 5-WEEK RESIDENTIAL INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL (ISSJS.2026-5W)

The International School for Jain Studies (ISJS) invites applications for its five-week residential International Summer School on Jain Studies (ISSJS.2026-5W), scheduled from June 18 to July 22, 2026.

This immersive academic journey offers scholars the chance to experience Jain philosophy, ethics, and cultural traditions through:

• Rigorous classroom learning and experiential study
• Visits to sacred Jain pilgrimage sites and temples
• Dialogues with Jain ascetics and householders
• Individual research on a chosen theme in Jainism

We invite graduate and doctoral students, post-doctoral researchers, and full-time teaching faculty from around the world, especially those engaged in Philosophy and Religion, South Asian Studies, Indology, Anthropology, Theology, and allied disciplines-to participate in this unique academic journey.

Applications are now invited. ISJS is honored to welcome international scholars to Pune for a distinguished academic immersion in Jain studies.
