The six participants of the sixth batch of Bhagwan Mahavira Prakrit Fellowship (BMPF) have started to arrive in
Pune. The classes will begin from September 3, 2025.
Avni Saxena, Aishwarya Sahana, Shrabani Sarkar, Ananya Jain, Nishtha Jain, and Ayush Jain from different parts of
India will participate in the studies of Prakrit for the next nine months.
BMPF is a flagship academic initiative by ISJS that has completed five batches and has produced serious Prakrit
enthusiasts. It is an immersive residential program for 9 months designed to promote in-depth study and
appreciation of Prakrit and Jain literature. Participants not only engage with rigorous language training and
textual exploration but also receive a diploma from Deccan College, enhancing their academic credentials.
