LECTURES ON JAINOLOGY BY BHAGWAN SHITALNATH CHAIR AT DECCAN COLLEGE
Bhagwan Shitalnath Chair for Jain Archaeology at Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute, Pune organized two lectures on Jainology by Mr. Oshin Bamb and Dr. A.P. Jamkhedkar respectively.
The lecture was organized under Prof. H.D. Sankalia Monthly Lecture Series on Jain Heritage on September 30, 2024, via Google Meet from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM and was delivered by Mr. Oshin Bamb, Assistant Professor at the Bhagwan Shitalnath Chair for Jain Archeology at the Department of AIHC and Archaeology (funded by the International School for Jain Studies and Vardhman Charitable Foundation, USA). The title of the lecture was Serenity in Stone: Iconography, Architecture, and Landscape at Muktagiri Siddhakshetra.

The department is also going to organize the inaugural Prof. S.B. Deo Annual Memorial Lecture on Jain Studies on October 1, 2024, at 12:00 noon in the New Convocation Hall.
The lecture will be delivered by Dr. A.P. Jamkhedkar, Chancellor, Sir J.J. School of Art, Architecture, and Design, Mumbai who is also the former chancellor of Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute, Pune. The title of the lecture is Haribhadrasuri: Contribution to Jain Yoga.
