The International School for Jain Studies (ISJS) is dedicated to
promoting the principles of Jain philosophy as an exemplary way of
life. About seven years ago, ISJS initiated a winter program aimed at
convening scholars and enthusiasts of Jainism to explore and discuss
the potential of Jain studies to effect positive transformations in
individuals’ lifestyles. We meticulously selected pertinent topics and
developed an introductory course tailored to meet the needs of
beginners. This program encompasses an introduction to various Jain
concepts and includes interactive discussions with Jain householders
and monks, providing insights into how they harmoniously and
contentedly lead their lives..
After Covid-19, the program transitioned to an online platform,
significantly broadening its reach. Since then, numerous participants
have benefited from the program, deepening their interest in Jain
studies. This year, ISJS is poised to launch its 7th winter program,
continuing its mission to make a meaningful impact as the winter
season approaches.
Rhythm of Life, another program centered on the Jain way of life, is a
comprehensive retreat inspired by ancient Indian philosophies,
neuroscience, and personal experiences. This program is back with an
emphasis on beliefs, values, and perspectives, fostering opportunities
for profound introspection. It guides the participants to develop a
vision, and actionable plans based on their introspective insights.
The programs are open for one and all and ISJS wishes a healthy
spiritual life to all the participants!
