INAUGURATION OF THE ABHAY PRABHAVANA MUSEUM MARKS A
NEW CULTURAL MILESTONE
The Abhay Prabhavana Museum, one of India's premier institutions
dedicated to Jain philosophy and Indian heritage, was formally inaugurated in
a grand ceremony on November 5, 2024.
Situated along the picturesque banks of the Indrayani River, the museum
spans 50 acres and houses 30 intricately designed galleries featuring
immersive exhibits, interactive installations, and over 350 artworks that
reflect the richness of Jain culture and thought. The inauguration was graced
by prominent dignitaries, scholars, and cultural leaders, all supporting the
museum's mission to deepen appreciation for Jain values and their lasting
influence on Indian society.
The inauguration was done by the hands of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari,
who emphasized the museum's role in promoting a deeper understanding of
Jain values and their enduring influence on Indian society. Union Minister
Jyotiraditya Scindia, Justice Dalveer Bhandari, Former Union Minister
Maneka Gandhi, Maharaj Kumar Lakshyaraj Singh of Mewar, BMVSS
Founder D R Mehta, and Gandhian Leader Anna Hazare were also present
at the ceremony. The event also received the blessings of the spiritual
leaders Acharya Chandana ji Maharaj, Gurudevshri Rakesh Bhai, and Siling
Tongkhor Rinpoche who was representing His Holiness Dalai Lama.
Visitors to the museum will find themselves transported through time,
exploring the evolution of Jain philosophy from ancient scriptures to
contemporary interpretations.
Dr. Abhay Firodia, Chairman, Amar Prerana Trust, expressed his gratitude to
all contributors and supporters, highlighting the collaborative effort that made
the museum a reality. "The Abhay Prabhavana Museum is a testament to the
timeless wisdom of Jain philosophy and its relevance in today’s world," he
said. "We are committed to preserving and sharing this rich heritage with
future generations."
The inauguration marks a new cultural milestone, promising to be a beacon
of knowledge and a source of inspiration for all who visit.
