Alka Siddharth Dalal Post-Doctoral Fellowship, 3-Day Conference in Jainism at California State University, and Six-Month Certificate Course in Prakrit from Shrut Ratnakar
The Department of Religion at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (New Brunswick, N.J.) invites applications for the Alka Siddhartha Dalal Endowed Postdoctoral Fellowship in Jainism to begin in Fall 2024. The fellowship is open to candidates who specialize in any subfield of Jain Studies, including but not limited to religion, history, philosophy, art, or literature.
California State University, Long Beach has organized a Conference in Jainism from April 21 to 23, 2024 with the theme Samavasaran: The Assembly of Tirthankaras. The event will have discussions on Nonviolence and Environment in Jainism with special themes such as Compassion to Death and Ethics to Devotion.
Shrut Ratnakar, Centre for Indological Studies (Ahmedabad) has organized a six month’s certificate course in Prakrit. It will have online classes every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The medium of instruction will be Hindi. The program starts on April 15, 2024.
