Summers are the best time for experiential learning. How wonderful is the thought when the enthusiasts of philosophy, history, culture, and religion gather to discuss Jainism in Indian summers and have fun with learning!
The International Summer School for Jain Studies ‘ISSJS’ is in the groove. The humble scholars comprehend what Jainism has to offer to the world and how it is a beautiful way of life. Fifteen participants from South Africa, Kenya, Nepal, and India are learning the Jain thought.
The best part is the intellectual classroom discussions that turn into newer understandings, and the Sunday evenings present a chance for cultural exchange.
The International School for Jain Studies ‘ISJS’ has another activity to offer. We hereby announce a 15-day online workshop on Brahmi script to commence from July 30. Many inscriptions have been written in this script and the workshop is a great opportunity to learn this ancient wisdom that helps in preserving the Indian heritage.
The insider’s news is that the selection committee of the Bhagwan Mahavira Prakrit Fellowship program is busy reviewing the numerous applications we have received this year and the applicants will be shortly intimated for the interviews. Besides, we are still open to receiving entries for the best book and the best paper on Jainism for this year’s ISJS Awards.
