Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh delivers two lectures on Agamik Literature
The Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute (Deemed
to be University), Pune invited Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh to deliver two
online lectures on Jain Agamik Literature on June 7-8, 2024. Dr. Singh
is the Senior Research Fellow at ISJS.
The six-month certificate course is organized by the Bhagwan Shitalnath Chair for Jain Archaeology funded by ISJS. A total of 51 participants have joined the course that began on May 24, 2024 and is being taught online in English on Fridays and Saturdays each week.
Dr. Singh presented comprehensive information on Jain canonical literature and three main groups of their commentaries – niryukti, bhashya, and churni. He also covered Shaurseni literature and their commentaries.
