ONLINE MONTHLY LECTURE ON THE SULTANS OF DELHI IN JAIN LITERATURE BY DR. STEVEN M. VOSE CONCLUDED

The 12th lecture in the online monthly lecture series by ISJS titled “Between History and Memory: The Sultans of Delhi in Jain Literature” was delivered by Dr. Steven Vose on January 13, 2024. Dr. Vose is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History and holder of the Bhagwan Suparshvanatha Professorship in Jain Studies at the University of Colorado, Denver, USA. The talk covered the relationship between Jain community and Muslim rulers of Delhi. More than 50 people attended from different parts of the world, and a constructive debate followed.

The session was chaired by Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Senior Research Fellow, International School for Jain Studies, Pune. He is a renowned scholar of Prakrit and Jain literature who has edited a dozen books and has written more than fifty research papers.
