ISJS Announces Special Program on Prakrit Studies for Jain Ascetics
ISJS invites Jain ascetics (sadhu-sadhvis) to study Prakrit (a language of Jain canonical literature) for nine months. The program focuses on the study of Prakrit grammar which helps in understanding Jain texts.
The program specifically caters to those who are initiated in Jain ascetic order. An experienced scholar of agamic literature will be the key faculty of the program.
ISJS will provide the study material, boarding, and lodging to the participating ascetics. The medium of instruction will be English.
