Ghent University, a prestigious institution known for its academic excellence, has announced its comprehensive Master's degree program in Jain Studies both online and on campus. ISJS is a partner institution of the university in India.
The program is conducted by the Department of Oriental Languages and Cultures, with a specific focus on Jainism and its languages. The curriculum provides a holistic understanding of this ancient tradition.
The program welcomes diverse cohorts. Direct admission to the master’s program requires a bachelor’s degree in Indology, South Asian Studies, Indian Studies, Hindi, Sanskrit, or equivalent: the student must be able to prove having passed academic courses in Sanskrit and/or Hindi, minimally up to intermediate level.
