Visit by Scholars of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar University, Solapur to ISJS
A group of about 20 students, scholars, and teachers from the School of Languages and Literatures at Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar University, Solapur visited ISJS on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. They are all avid practitioners of Prakrit and are enrolled in the university to pursue master's or doctoral degrees in the language.
Dr. Shrinetra Pandey, Director (Acting), presented in detail about the ISJS activities and its future plan. The Prakrit faculty members of ISJS and the Bhagwan Mahavira Prakrit Fellowship participants made a presentation on Jain Kosh Literature which was applauded by everyone.
The group was also accompanied by Dr. Kamal Kumar Jain (Seth Hirachand Nemchand Jain Chair, Pune University) and Dr. Rajashree Mohadikar (former faculty member of the Department of Sanskrit and Prakrit Languages, Pune University).
