ISJS now invites entries for the prestigious Bhagwan Kunthunath ISJS
Annual Awards for the best book and research paper/article for two years
combined For the award year 2023 and 2024, the books/research articles
published in the years 2023 and 2024 will be considered.
ISJS encourages scholarship in academic studies of Jainism and associated scholarships of international standards. It proposes to institute two (02) annual awards for the best book & the best research paper/article published about Jain philosophy/culture/history/ethics and their applications in today’s world.

Below are the specifics, rules, and selection criteria:
- The award will be given for the publication on Jain philosophy/culture/history/ethics and their applications in today’s world.
- The prize/award money is INR 1,00,000.00 (for the book) and INR 25,000.00 (for the research article/paper) or equivalent in US$.
- Award will carry a citation. The award and awardees' names will be published widely.
- The date for submission is August 31, 2025.
