Jain Scholar Joanna Flynn Set to Embark on ISJS Internship
In an exciting development, Joanna Flynn, a Polish scholar with dual
Irish citizenship, is preparing to begin her internship at ISJS. With her
background in Indian Culture and Languages, a passion for Sanskrit
literature, and practical experience in sea turtle conservation, Joanna
brings a unique blend of academic rigor and real-world engagement to
her upcoming role.
Joanna holds a master’s degree in Indian Culture and Languages
(with a focus on Jaina Studies) from Ghent University, Belgium. Her
academic journey includes a bachelor’s degree in Indian studies from
the University of Warsaw, Poland, and a postgraduate certificate in
Social Sciences from The Open University, UK. Joanna is proficient in
several languages, including English, Sanskrit, and Pali. Her diverse
skills range from studying epistemology to yoga instruction.
Joanna will be at ISJS for two months starting September 1, 2024. We
wish Joanna a wonderful sprint at ISJS.
