BUSINESS WORLD FEATURES ISJS PRESIDENT DR. SHUGAN C. JAIN
The December 2023 issue of the popular business magazine ‘Business World’ features Dr. Shugan Chand Jain, Founder-President of the International School for Jain Studies ‘ISJS’ as an Agent of Change for Jain Studies.
In his column ‘Inclusivity,’ Krishan Kalra mentions Dr. Jain’s journey that he started at the age of 60 by following his inner calling. Dr. Jain is a visionary who pursued higher studies, earned a doctorate degree, and founded ISJS (2005) at the age of 65 to benefit numerous other scholars, primarily in American universities. His vision has benefitted more than 1000 overseas participants to date leading to over 40 universities globally offering Jain studies programs. He also revived his childhood schools for the betterment of local children coming from weaker sections of society in the Walled city of Old Delhi.
The article rightly calls him an ‘unsung hero’ who is doing valuable work in the field of education by developing many new programs and bringing effective measures to the education system.
