A GROUP OF SCHOLARS AND STUDENTS FROM THE USA VISIT ISJS
A group of three professors and two students visited ISJS for three days from December 21-23 to have a holistic understanding of Jain academia.
The group including Prof. Sunita Manian, Prof. James Jackson Winchester, Mr. Liam and Ms. Basil from Georgia College and State University, Georgia along with Dr. Justin W Henry, Bhagwan Padma Prabhu Endowed Assistant Professor, University of South Florida, came to ISJS. The group was delighted to have an interaction with ISJS Chairman Dr. Abhay Firodia.
The group was given an overview of ISJS, its operations, and future objectives as well as a special talk on the Uniqueness of Jainism by Dr. Shrinetra Pandey, Director (Acting), ISJS. A special lecture was arranged for the group on Jain Art and Iconography by Prof. Maruti Nandan Prasad Tiwari.
They spent a whole day at the experience center being prepared by Dr. Abhay Firodia, Chairman of ISJS, near Pune. The scholarly discussions made the visit worthwhile.
