ONLINE MONTHLY LECTURE ON SARVODAYA FOR PEACE AND HARMONY BY DR. C DEVAKUMAR JAIN
The 11th lecture in the online monthly lecture series was delivered on “Sarvodaya for Peace and Harmony” by Dr C Devakumar Jain on December 9, 2023. The lecture discussed the meaning and importance of Sarvodaya based on Yuktyānuśāsanam by Samantabhadra, and explained that Sarvodaya, the welfare of everyone, can be achieved by embracing the principles of fraternity, self-regulation, and equanimity.
The session was chaired by Prof Dharam Chand Jain, Professor Endowment Chair at Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad. He is also President of the Rajasthan Prakrit Bhasha and Sahitya Academy and Vice President of the Jain Academy of Scholars. Prof. Jain also discussed his views on Sarvodaya relating it with other traditions.
The lecture was followed by interesting discussions. Many eminent scholars and about 50 people attended the lecture online.
