ISSJS.2021-3W (June 14–July 04, 2021 at Pune & Ahmedabad): This three-week program is designed to cater to the needs of undergraduate, graduate, degree holders, PhD Candidates, Professors and faculty in Religion, Philosophy, South Asian Studies and Anthropology and other related subjects (history, art, music, public health, bioethics, education, management etc.) who desire to learn about Jainism as a part of their higher education.
ISSJS.2021-5W (June 14–July 18, 2021 at Pune, Ahmedabad & Delhi): This five-week advanced program is designed for serious and motivated Graduate and PhD students, Post-Doctoral scholars and full time teaching cum research faculty involved in religion, South Asian religions or studies and languages, anthropology, theology and allied subjects.
ISSJS.2021-Teaching for Peace (July 5–25, 2021 at Pune, Jalgaon and Delhi): This program is designed for teachers & educators who wish to integrate practical nonviolence into their lives, classrooms and schools.

ISJS LOOKING FOR A DIRECTOR / CHIEF EXECUTIVE
ISJS invites applications for the position of Director / Chief Executive at Pune. The selected candidate will be responsible to actualize the Vision and Mission of ISJS and all other activities.
The candidate must have PhD in Philosophy or Religion with a major emphasis on Jain philosophy, history, literature, practices, way of life and their applications to enhance personal and social wellness from a reputed University in India or Abroad.
Candidates with lesser experience will be considered for other academic positions.

EXCELLENT OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN PRAKRIT UNDER BHAGWAN MAHAVIR FELLOWSHIP IN INDIA
ISJS invites applications from interested scholars for all fully paid Bhagwan Mahavir Fellowships for 9 months in India to study the Prakrit language (a language of Jain Canonical literature).
The Fellowship provides full boarding, lodging, monthly cash stipend (for personal expenses), tuition, course material and travels within India in connection with the program. The selected scholars will only pay their own airfare to and from India, the passport and visa fee etc.
This is an excellent opportunity and only four Fellowships will be made available.

Jain Associations in North America (JAINA), USA has published a special edition of Jain Digest on Jain Education in North America. This special issue also contains a full profile of ISJS since its inception.
A NEW SECTION ON BOOK REVIEW IN ISJS-TRANSACTIONS (ONLINE RESEARCH JOURNAL)
Reference books are important indicators of the growth of an academic discipline or sub-discipline. Keeping this in mind, ISJS has introduced a Book Review section in the October-December issue of its Online Research Journal with the hope that the feature would continue in the future. The book taken up here is the Jain Community of Bundelkhand written by Prof. Prakash C. Jain which is reviewed by Mr. Vijay Kumar Soni.
ISJS invites the newly published books on Jainism for review. Authors/Editors/Publishers are requested to send two copies of the book (one for the reviewer and another for ISJS record). Only one book along with a review article on that can also be sent.
