Academic Liaison Committee (ALC) of JAINA USA organized a very informative and timely presentation by Dr. Abhay Navalmal Firodia on his two major initiatives concerning Jain heritage and Jain studies on November 28, 2020 at 08:30 PM (IST). Dr. Firodia started his presentation by introducing the trusts/organizations governed by his family involved in academic and other social activities. In this talk, he presented his plans and visions, especially of the proposed world-class Jain Museum near Pune and International School for Jain Studies (ISJS). Dr. Firodia also shared the current status of the proposed Jain Museum. Dr. Shugan C Jain, President of ISJS discussed the plan of the collaboration of ISJS with the institutions globally.
This talk was coordinated by Dr. Sulekh C Jain, USA and Dr. Jasvant Modi, USA compiled the session with a Vote of Thanks. More than 125 participants/dignitaries from all over the world attended the program.

AN OVERWHELMING RESPONSE FOR ONLINE WINTER PROGRAM
ISJS is going to organize its 3rd Winter Program (IWSJS.2020) for 10 days on Jain Philosophy & Way of life. This year this program will be online due to COVID-19. The program will start on December 28, 2020 and will end on January 06, 2021. This year ISJS has received an overwhelming response globally for this program. The program is overbooked and more than 35 participants from USA, Canada, Russia, Zimbabwe, Ukraine, China, Pakistan, Greece, Switzerland and Romania ranging from undergraduate students, postgraduate students, researchers, faculties in different academic institutions to Jain professionals, are enrolled for this program. ISJS will conduct this program on ZOOM online platform every day from 07:00 PM – 10:00 PM (IST).
ADMISSION OPEN FOR 2021 SUMMER PROGRAMS IN INDIA
ISJS, offers an excellent opportunity for overseas university students, faculty members, researchers as well as high school teachers to visit India and learn about Jain philosophy & way of life and the doctrine of Ahimsa (nonviolence). The following programs are available for 2021 summer:

The journal is open for the scholars/researchers/faculties for their research papers on various aspects of Jainology, i.e. philosophy, culture, religion, history, archaeology, art & architecture, science, relevance today and many more. HOMAGE
Prof. Sagarmal Jain, a renowned scholar of Jainism and founder Director of Prachya Vidyapeeth, Shajapur (MP) took his last breath on December 02, 2020. Before death, Prof. Jain took the vow of Sallekhana on November 30, 2020.
Prof. Jain had dedicated himself to the teaching of Jain Philosophy, Culture and Prakrit language. For his dedication, he was conferred President Award in 2018. He was former Director of Parshwanath Vidyapeeth, Varanasi (UP) for 18 years. He has contributed more than 70 books to academia. More than 50 scholars earned PhD degree under his supervision. He taught the Jain scriptures to more than 250 Jain ascetics.
International School for Jain Studies (ISJS) pays tribute to this great scholar and prays for his soul to rest in peace.
