She was known for her adherence to Jain Sadhvi conduct, simplicity, knowledge of Jain holy texts, speeches and welfare of all.
BHAGWAN MAHAVIRA PRAKRIT RESEARCH AND STUDY PROGRAM
The three scholars joined ISJS on 25 September, 2019 to learn Prakrit for 1 Year. Mr. Itamar Ramot (PhD candidate from University of Chicago) started from Pune. While, Ms. Corinne Smith (MA from SOAS, London) and Mr. Anando Ghosh (MA from SOAS, London) started from Delhi. All of them will go to Shantineketan on 8 October, 2019 for 4 months. After that they will proceed to Madras, Udaipur and Delhi.
WORKSHOPS BY PROF. CHRISTOPHER KEY CHAPPLE
International School for Jain Studies in association with Amar Prerana Trust successfully organized two workshops on "Comparative Studies of Karma" and "Exploring Yoga, Meditation and Tantra in Jainism" at Firodia Hostel and Navalveerayatan, Pune respectively. Both workshops lead by Prof. Christopher Chapple. Prof. Chapple is the Doshi Professor of Indic and Comparative Theology and Director, Master of Arts in Yoga Studies at Loyola Marymount University, USA. He came to India for 4 months as senior Fulbright-Nehru Scholar hosted by ISJS.

AC. SHRI HASTI SMRITI SAMMAN CONFERRED UPON DR. SHUGAN JAIN
Dr. Shugan Jain, Chairman of International School for Jain Studies got the prestigious award “Acharya Shri Hasti Smriti Samman” on 29 September, 2019 at Pali, Rajasthan. This award was given to Dr. Jain by Akhil Bharatiya Shri Jain Ratna Hitaishi Shravak Sangh, Jodhpur. Dr. Jain got this award for his outstanding contribution to Jain literature.
DR. SHUGAN JAIN ADDRESSED AT CENTER FOR SPIRITUAL LIVING
Dr. Jain gave a highly acclaimed interactive talk on "Go with the Flow Consciously" to a distinguished audience at Geneva.
